Quill Volley Spiritborn Overpower build guide

Quill Volley remains a powerhouse in Season 7 of Diablo 4, even after several bug fixes and nerfs. This build can still clear Pit 100, deal billions of damage, and solo Tormented with ease. Here's how to adapt your build to the current meta:

Build Mechanics

Damage Source: The core of this build's damage is now Overwhelm, with Jaguar Spirit Hall no longer providing triple damage dips.Survivability: With 55,000 HP, this build makes Spiritborn nearly unkillable, even against the one-shot mechanics of Uber Lilith.

Gear tweaks

Maximum Health & Shield: Focus on gear with great affixes for maximum health. Masterworking should prioritise Health for increased Overpower damage, not just the fixed 33% Viscous Shield damage.Resilience vs. Resolve: With maximum Resolve stacks being removed by tempering, opt for Resilient, which activates for 10 seconds with Gorilla skills. Manage Armour Hide carefully for constant uptime.

Mercenary & Passive Skills

Mercenary: Use Reair for fortification bonuses to increase Overpower damage.Passive: Use Intricacy to reset Armor Hide's cooldown with Hunter Ultimate, ensuring 100% uptime.

Resource Management

Rod of Keika: Due to a bug fix, you will need a minimum of 275 maximum resources to trigger Banish Lord Talisman. Prioritise your equipment, focusing on the Helm or Rod of Keika with a higher affix for maximum resources.

Skill and Paragon Board

Skill tree: Shifted focus from buffing Jaguar Spirit Hall to directly increasing Quill Volley or Overwhelm damage. Paragon Board: Replace Mystic Circle with Fulminate, as the circle won't follow you without the Celestial Power aspect. Pick up Critical Strike damage and Dexterity nodes around the Spirit glyph to maximise your damage output.

Amulets & Rings

Rings: Swap Soothsayer for Moonrise for a 100% multiplicative damage increase. Use the Ring of the Midnight Sun for Pit Push to ensure you always have full resources for Overpower and Critical Strike triggers.

Tempering & Aspects

Tempering: Resource cost reduction still provides a weird multiplier damage effect, which is useful with the interaction between Rod of Keika and Banish Lord. Replace Mystic Circle Potency with basic skill damage where appropriate.

Build flexibility

If your goal isn't strictly pit pushing, you could stick with last season's setup without Midnight Sun, but remember it's less effective against single targets like pit bosses.
